News from Lee's Summit:
Now that summer has been kicked off, Lady's Night is over, and the Farmer's market has opened, you need to come in to Lee's Summit to get that suburban feeling back. I'm telling you, it feels just as good as any weekend in St. Charles, or Kirkwood. We have it all over the Eastern side of the state.
Take this week for example, we have Third Thursday on Third. We'll have Mike and Kay Connelly, members of 'String Side Up' a wonderful percussion instrument band from Longview College. Mike plays the guitar, and Kay plays the hammered Dulcimer. Other members of the group are: Carol Kuznacic on flute, and Landon Hall on Cello. They play music for the joy of it. String Side up will be out front of the shop this Thursday, June 18, from about 6:30 or 7 till they tire. Come hear them and make a purchase of their new CD, only $18.00.
Thanks a big bunch to all of our new friends who came to see us last Saturday for lady's nite out. We had easily 450 ladies through the shop throughout the day. We had a blast. If you were one of them, please check back in. We'll have more fun through the summer. If you didn't make it this time, maybe next year.
Also - we want to wish the June kids HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Brothers Jay and Jeff Denton, Aunt Becky Hartman, happy belated birthday!! Congratulations to John and Sherry Kelly, who were married last weekend at St. Thomas Moore Church! Heard it was a fabulous event.
Come and visit your Downtown Lee's Summit Merchants. We're all still here waiting to show you a good time, still open for you. Great shopping all season, especially on the third Thursday of each month! Come and see.
